Glaucoma is an eye disease linked to excessively high intraocular pressure (IOP), which progressively damages the nerve fibers of the optic nerve. Although it cannot be cured, treatments exist to slow down or stop its progression.
Intravitreal Injection
IVT, or intravitreal injection, is a treatment primarily used for retinal diseases such as wet AMD (age-related macular degeneration), diabetic retinopathy, or certain vascular alterations. It may also be indicated for other pathologies, such as posterior uveitis.
Retinal Surgery
Retinal surgery, or vitreoretinal surgery, is one of the most complex interventions in ophthalmology. Thanks to technological advancements, it is now possible to treat various vitreous and retinal pathologies quickly, effectively, and safely.
